Description of Ministry:
St. Anne members serve St. Bridget Parish by fostering the spiritual development of women in the parish by providing opportunities for friendship and community spirit through social, spiritual and educational programs. We visit area nursing homes several times throughout the year bringing refreshments and prizes for bingo. During Lent, we have a day of reflection. The date varies and will be announced in advance. There is also an annual breakfast the fourth Sunday in July. At this time, we install our new members and honor 25 and 50 year members. We’re celebrating over 75 years here at St. Bridget Church! We also do fundraisers and contribute to charities. We are available to assist wherever needed in the Parish, such as receptions, dinners, etc. We pray the Rosary at the wake of a deceased member and have an honor guard at the funeral Mass. The Welcome ministry is also part of the St. Anne Confraternity.
Mission/Purpose Statement:
The ministry’s purpose is to promote the Christian home education of children, Christian living and service in St. Bridget Parish, to foster the spiritual development of the women of the parish, and to provid opportunities for friendship and community spirit through social and educational progress.
